Civil engineering is one of the most traditional engineering studies in India. British started very good schools for civil engineering studies and successfully completed some of the best public projects like Ganga canal and India’s Railway network to name few. A diploma in civil engineering will give good opportunities in industry as India is moving fast forward for infrastructure development and one the same time leave a good space for higher studies at home and abroad like B.Tech. in civil engineering.

Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility requirement for the diploma in electrical engineering is that the candidate must pass class 10. A class 12 pass candidate is also eligible to appear for the course as the minimum age requirement is 15 years. An entrance exam is held for admission in the diploma course in electrical engineering.
Course Outlook
Diploma in electrical engineering is a 3 year course offered in various polytechnic colleges of India. In this course duration students are evaluated on the basis of practical examination as well as theoretical examination held every year. Marks are given on basis of Continuous Formative Assessment and annual Examination. A Diploma holder can further go for B.tech and then M.tech degree in Electrical Engineering.
Job Prospects
There are lucrative job prospect available for an electrical engineer with diploma degree. They are appointed in Power plants for installation, up gradation and maintenance of the instruments, in railways and shipping sector and in commodity goods sector where they can apply their available practical to complete the job

Mode of Admission:

  1. Through combined Entrance Test of JEE
  2. For details of the test refer to section "Important Instructions & Syllabi.
  3. The list of the candidates according to their order of merit in entrance examination and selected for counselling to Diploma courses shall be displayed on Notice Board/ Website. The date of counselling on which they have to report for completing the admission formalities.
  4. Selection for admission to Diploma courses shall be done through the counselling and in the order of merit of the Entrance Test.
  5. NRI/left over seats shall be filled on the merit of qualifying examination

Electrical engineering  is one of the core fields of engineering, so it is always evergreen in terms of Scope and Job Prospects. Electrical Engineering is the heart of whole engineering discipline and therefore it scope will never fade even many years from now. Nowadays, we see  Electronics playing an important role in the implementation and control of Electrical Machines. Keeping this fact file in mind the course have transformed from core electrical Engineering into a Fusion of Electronics and Electrical and has been renamed as Electronics and Electrical engineering or simply EEE.Electrical Engineering specially requires the practical skills; proper knowledge of electrical equipments, current and circuits is the basics of this diploma. Proper knowledge & understanding of the subject can lead the candidate to a successful, carree in Electrical Engineering.
