About the course:

Duration: Two Year (Four Semester), Eligibility: Graduation in any steam,

 


Intake - 60 in Ist Shift

Duration - 2yrs (Four Semester, 06 Month Each)

Eligibilty

A candidate must have passed Graduation in any steam from a recognized Board / University.

Mode of Admission:

  1. Through combined Entrance Test of JEE
  2. For details of the test refer to section "Important Instructions & Syllabi.
  3. The list of the candidates according to their order of merit in entrance examination and selected for counselling to Diploma courses shall be displayed on Notice Board/ Website. The date of counselling on which they have to report for completing the admission formalities.
  4. Selection for admission to Diploma courses shall be done through the counselling and in the order of merit of the Entrance Test.
  5. NRI/left over seats shall be filled on the merit of qualifying examination

No doubt that the information technology & in Computer has changed the word & the way we live today, During last decade computer application in different arias has opened new doors for employments therefore post graduate diploma in computer application is most suggested course for graduate to become aware in skilled in computers. As the course provide the basic knowledge without requiring the much of the knowledge before joining the course, graduate of any stream is illegible for joining the course however basic knowledge mathematics is supposed to be know learned by the candidate as further this become a part of learning the computer application during the course. In DDCNP our computer faculty provide the candidates proper guidance to candidates to become learned as well as professionally skilled.

Computer software engineers apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. The tasks performed by these workers evolve quickly, reflecting new areas of specialization or changes in technology, as well as the preferences and practices of employers. (A separate section on computer hardware engineers appears in the engineers section of the Handbook.)

Software engineers can be involved in the design and development of many types of software, including computer games, word processing and business applications, operating systems and network distribution, and compilers, which convert programs to machine language for execution on a computer.

Computer software engineers begin by analyzing users' needs, and then design, test, and develop software to meet those needs. During this process they create the detailed sets of instructions, called algorithms, that tell the computer what to do. They also may be responsible for converting these instructions into a computer language, a process called programming or coding, but this usually is the responsibility of computer programmers. (A separate section on computer programmers appears elsewhere in the Handbook.) Computer software engineers must be experts in operating systems and middleware to ensure that the underlying systems will work properly.

Computer applications software engineers analyze users' needs and design, construct, and maintain general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. These workers use different programming languages, depending on the purpose of the program. The programming languages most often used are C, C++, and Java, with Fortran and COBOL used less commonly. Some software engineers develop both packaged systems and systems software or create customized applications.

Computer systems software engineers coordinate the construction, maintenance, and expansion of an organization's computer systems. Working with the organization, they coordinate each department's computer needs-ordering, inventory, billing, and payroll recordkeeping, for example-and make suggestions about its technical direction. They also might set up the organization's intranets-networks that link computers within the organization and ease communication among various departments.

Systems software engineers also work for companies that configure, implement, and install the computer systems of other organizations. These workers may be members of the marketing or sales staff, serving as the primary technical resource for sales workers. They also may help with sales and provide customers with technical support. Since the selling of complex computer systems often requires substantial customization to meet the needs of the purchaser, software engineers help to identify and explain needed changes. In addition, systems software engineers are responsible for ensuring security across the systems they are configuring.

  • System analysts: They look after the work of final testing of the software and advising the clients on the purchase and installation of the computer systems. They also are responsible for researching the organizational procedures and planning their computerization.
  • Consultants: They provide expert guidance to the companies during the purchase of the computer system. System analyst or designers with considerable amount of experience can work as consultants.
  • Technical writers: they are involved in writing manuals for computers.
  • E-commerce: They are adept in the net-com business, e-commerce fundamentals and its security issues and assist in developing websites for commercial purposes.
  • Knowledge engineers: They are expert in designing of the computer systems, which are associated with a human expert, like medical diagnosis or safety systems for industry.
  • Webmasters: They handle the task of configuration and setting up of the websites and its development. They have to take care of the security of the websites and create firewalls against the hackers and stalkers.
  • Networking: This work involves designing of networks, implementation of support, servicing and management.
  • Computer education: This job involves giving training to the end users, students or computer professionals in advanced technologies

Industrial Training & other Exposures
After the competition of the First Year of the course, One month summer training is proposed by BTE U.P. which is very much require as the candidates to become fully aware and known to the technical challenges in computer application. Candidates is supposed to learn make a summer training project report for valuation in final annual examination. Summer training is done in various government and private organization.
